The summer of serpents will summon its servants
To bring a universe of reality to the earth
Leaving us nervous on the dust covered surface
Of a planet that can only export customer service
The closer you get to posing a threat
To the only planet you’re supposed to protect
The farther you are from harming a star that’s falling apart
And always being haunted by the ghosts we forget
Assigning right or wrong to the temporary permanence
Is a sign of the personal quest best abandoned
In the grand scheme of things, man don’t mean a thing
If we accept, overhear, reject, or understand it
Nothing’s as perfect as nothing at all
So when something is worth it, you want it to fall
Out of orbit to force it into a world defined
By pearls and swine, then water to wine.
Sensing few have a sense of the impending doom
Beyond senseless rules and fools bending spoons
Mother nature started sending clues
And being who she is inventing room for the empty tombs
But this’ll show her: I’ll become an intergalactic whistle blower
Tripping over meaningless problems leaving
Odds and evens to the gods and demons
Who’ve lost their freedom to the laws of reason
Ratifying reversing the magnifying glass
Simply to observe time pass as a last resort
Without spineless back support
Cause infinity took a mile, then asked for more
When planets apply for corporate personhood
The search for good quickly comes to a grinding halt
Breathless, nobody’s expected to respect it
Protected from themselves by finding fault.
Humanity has run its course with stunning force
The well has run dry, so we search for another source
To dominate the common fate of common man
Domestic exceptions granted for a plot of land
A thousand lights abandoned by the house of right’s
Flight to heights that are currently out of sight
But never out of mind, without design
The 33rd’s dirty bird flies for the thousandth time
Piercing the cloud’s design to plan a new land of liberty
And understand the mysteries of
Beginning and ends, infinity’s trends
And how divinity spends eternity in women and men
Only to learn that the only concern
Of a creator’s no greater than to slowly return
To what was- what is, what always shall be
